Hosted by and presented by Leonard VanderZee, H. Henry Meeter Center recipient of the Emo Van Halsema Fellowship.
Calvin's Eucharistic theology, as opposed to Zwingli's, is characterized by a profound and joyful participation in Christ through the gift of his true glorified humanity in the bread and wine. This presentation will consider some factors by which a more Zwinglian focus on the communicant's faith and commitment came to predominate in the Dutch Reformed tradition, despite the clearly Calvinist statements of its confessions.
