A list of presenters from the 2019 Symposium on 91����.

This course provides an introduction to the principles and practices of Christian worship. The course deals with biblical and church-historical perspectives on and practices of worship, particularly those of the Reformed tradition, elements of Christian Reformed Church liturgy including psalmody and hymnody, and contemporary worship styles in different cultural settings.

Kiran Young Wimberly and Karen Campbell are musically gifted Presbyterian pastors who have seen how singing Celtic psalms helps bridge communities in troubled places.

Brian Larson is cantor at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. His was one of 40 organizations that recently hosted a public congregational singing event based on the new Psalms for All Seasons: a Complete Psalter for 91����. In this edited conversation, he discusses the Psalmfest that Trinity Lutheran hosted on January 27, 2013.

Scripture models well for us how to speak about immigration in worship. Together, with Abraham, Jesus, and the early church, we can model radical hospitality, we can lament the pain of leaving and the pain of the journey, we can witness God's faithfulness to the refugees and migrants in the past, and together, united as the body of Christ, we can seek responses that reflect God's heart. Ultimately, we can look forward with hope, knowing that our "citizenship is in heaven."

We confess that God created heaven and earth and everything in it. We sing that this is our Father’s world. Yet, billions of people suffer in places where so much is no longer bright and beautiful. This worship resource guide will help your community plan services that honor our Creator, who invites us to join in caring for the whole creation.

As part of its year of Dwelling in the Psalms, the 91���� is providing support to worshiping communities throughout the United States and Canada to host a public psalm festival worship event that features congregational singing based on Psalms. We encourage using the resource Psalms for All Seasons: A Complete Psalter for 91���� (Brazos and Faith Alive Christian Resources, 2012) and other psalm resources of your choosing.

The learning went both ways when two school communities decided to “dwell in the Psalms” for a year. Their Psalms-based creations revealed that the Spirit can work through kids and adults of any age to nourish faith.
